Richard Hudson is currently the Director of Human Resources and Recruiting at United Services Group. He joined United Services Group in 2013, bringing his project management, quality, and job leadership ability to various positions within the company.

Currently, as our Director of Human Resources and Recruiting, Richard manages all manpower and project support at United Services Group and its subsidiaries. He works directly with our craft personnel, getting them set-up for in-processing, arrival to job-sites, and all aspect of project management in the home office.

Additionally, through previously built relationships built while managing projects, Richard always works closely with the business development team, helping acquire and quote upcoming projects.

Before starting with United, Richard spent five years working at Wachs Services as first a welder, Superintendent, and later as a Project Manager and Quality Control on the job-site. In a project management role, Richard built key relationships and partnerships with various companies and power plants. He supervised the completion of an outage and emergency work, coordinating manpower, project deadlines, and communication with each client.

Richard’s strong work ethic and leadership ability allowed him to build and grow continuing partnerships, which he brought with him to United Services Group in 2013.

Before joining Wachs Services, in a full-time project management role, he sharpened his craft as first a welder, then a foreman, and later as a Superintendent with the National Boiler Service and Turner Industries. He was able to grow his welding knowledge and project management abilities while working various outage and emergent projects throughout the United States.

Growing up in Lemont, Florida, Richard built his work ethic on the Magnolia Hills Plantation, which his father owned. His father taught him young age that hard work paid off. From Farming, Ranching, and working the cattle, and bailing hay.

Through his hard work and dedication to United Services Group, Richard was offered an opportunity to coordinate our manpower efforts from our home office in Charlotte, North Carolina. Through his previous job history and record, Josh Armstrong and Stephen Gillman saw a tremendous opportunity for Richard to step in and help advance the human resources and recruiting efforts of the company. In his short time in the position, Richard had introduced new welcomed changes in the ways of recruiting the top craft to our team. He has also been a welcomed member of our home office staff.

Richard, a native of Ebb (Sermans), Florida, currently lives in Florida with his wife, Jennifer Renee, and three children, Rylie (17), Jw (13), and Riley (2). They are also expecting another child early next year.

In his free time, Richard loves spending time with his family, hunting, and fishing with his son, as well as mud bogging.
